Discover how empowering women can unlock the full potential of emerging economies in this compelling conversation with Madeline McKelway, Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Dartmouth College. McKelway will provide an in-depth look at the role of women in driving economic growth, drawing from her extensive research on women's empowerment and employment in India. She will explore how investing in women’s economic opportunities can lead to sustainable development and long-term prosperity in emerging markets.

The event is free and open to the public, and will be hosted in a hybrid format, allowing both in-person and virtual participation. Don’t miss this opportunity to gain valuable insights into the importance of women’s economic empowerment and its transformative impact on emerging markets.

This is the third and final installment of the T. William & Patricia Ayers Global Tipping Points series, "Developing Emerging Economies," which explores bottom-up development models in the Global South. Each session highlights how grassroots efforts and localized initiatives are fueling growth, offering a pathway toward sustainable and inclusive economic development.

Over the past 15 years especially, the World Affairs Council of New Hampshire has blossomed, welcoming diverse voices and perspectives that enrich our dialogue and deepen our understanding of the world around us.

The evening will feature an engaging look at the past accomplishments of WACNH and a look ahead to the future of this global group of people.
